Rediscovering the Joy of Painting through teeny tiny canvases, one episode at a time.
Day 11: Season 1, Episode 12 Snow Fall
Here is the last episode of the first season! I can’t believe I’ve done 12 paintings already!
Day 10: Season 1, Episode 11 Winter Glow
I am in LOVE with how this one turned out. With this one, I decided to go in more on the white paint and a little less on the tints.
Day 9: Season 1, Episode 10 Mountain Lake
2 in one day?! I feel so addicted to these little paintings now!
Day 9: Season 1, Episode 9 Seascape
I was so excited to make a beach painting that I totally just blew through Bob’s instructions because I wanted DRAMA.
Day 8: Season 1, Episode 8 Peaceful Valley
After last episode’s painting I realized I really need to focus on not spending TOO much time on the blended background.
Day 7: Season 1, Episode 7 Autumn Mountain
Agh, I think I lost my way a bit with this one. At first I was feeling pretty good with the atmospheric mountains in the background but then I got too heavy-handed with the foreground and my impressionistic side just took over after that.
Day 6: Season 1, Episode 6 Winter Moon
When I saw this was ANOTHER winter scene, I audibly groaned.
Day 5: Season 1, Episode 5 Quiet Stream
The challenge with this one: INTENTION. I realized that since the acrylics are a different medium than the oil paints, I had to seriously back away from doing the step-by-step.
Day 4: Season 1, Episode 4 Winter Mist
Blah. Maybe it was just my lack of excitement when I saw that I would be painting a winter snowy scene, but this one was definitely not my favorite.
Day 3: Season 1, Episode 3 Ebony Sunset
Moving along to the ‘black canvas’ edition. Bob is working with black as his background so I had to make a first wash with black, crimson, and yellow gradient as my first layer on the canvas with acrylics and then work from there.
Day 2: Season 1, Episode 2 Mt. McKinley
Day 2! I spent a bit longer on this one and paused the video multiple times just to get lost in doing my own thing for a while. This one was challenging but I tried to really pay attention more with what I was doing with those acrylics
Day 1: A Walk In the Woods (Season 1, Episode 1)
Here we go. First day of my Tiny Bob Project challenge.
This is a little creative exercise for myself to get out of my head and get back into the joy and calmness that comes with creating something.
