Wow, 30 Days, 3o paintings!

I didn’t enjoy this one so much, as you could probably tell.

Sorry, I absolutely loathe painting winter scenes.

For this one, I followed Bob’s instructions closely. I decided to use the natural bristle brushes and used less water with my paints in order to get more texture.

I rarely say this about my work, but I am IN LOVE with this one.

On to season 3! This was a challenging start to season 3 because this one had so many little elements all throughout the scene.

Season 2 is done! After looking at these all together, I am so happy with how my progression has been coming along.

The last one of season 2! For this one, I swapped out some nylon brushes with natural bristle brushes to help me get better texture for the little bushes in the front.

Alrighty, I went for a full reset with this and truly stayed in line with Bob’s speed.

I thought I would’ve loved doing this one, but I really struggled.

I made the mistake this time on blocking out the entire scene instead of just lightly outlining where things go…it messed up my usual progression.

I’m starting to see that with every bad painting session, I follow up with an amazing one.

I had a real hard time with this one.

Looks like a postcard scene!

I put a little bit more trust in myself with this one and let my artist eye lead the way.

I’m starting to get a better grasp at foreground/background work.

I was afraid I was going to be bored with this one because it’s just black and white, but honestly, I think I needed this exercise.

For New Year’s Eve, I decided to have a cozy night in and paint with Bob.

I’m back to acrylics on this one, and this one was tough!

I switched to oils and I HATTTTEEEE it.
