Season 2 Recap!

Season 2 is done! After looking at these all together, I am so happy with how my progression has been coming along. I think compared to last season, you can really tell where I have improved and where I am learning to let my own voice come through.

Favorite Painting: Season 2, Epsiode 9 Black Seascape
I felt so in control over this one. I was super happy with the dramatic sky, the clouds, and felt like I really nailed the movement and texture of the ocean waves.

Least Favorite Painting: Season 2, Episode 11 Black Waterfall
Definitely felt like I lost my way with this one. I had a hard time with being decisive and I really hated how the overall mood of this one ended up feeling spooky instead of mystical like Bob’s. That tree in the front also killed it for me.

Most Valuable Lesson: Season 2, Episode 4 Shadows of Grey
This one wasn’t the most exciting, BUT it was the most valuable in training my eye. I only used black and white paint for this one so I had to pay attention to the values instead of relying on color.

Can’t wait to make more into Season 3!!
