Day 13: Season 2, Episode 2 Winter Sun
I’m back to acrylics on this one, and this one was tough! It’s hard to limit myself to just a few colors and I tried to focus on the contrast and value. It’s so hard to make sure this didn’t turn into a big mush full of crimson and white. Once I had a little bit more of the basic layout I started to place more of the bushes and sticks to give some parts of this more sharpness. The drama definitely came back with my mark-making with this one…trying to keep it contained in certain areas. Not too thrilled with how the lake turned out, though. Not sure about this one, but it’s not the worst I’ve done I don’t think.
