Day 27: Season 3, Episode 3 Bubbling Stream
For this one, I followed Bob’s instructions closely. I decided to use the natural bristle brushes and used less water with my paints in order to get more texture. I did get more texture, but it all ended up with more of a fuzzy/blurry look than I would’ve liked. In hindsight, I realized I should’ve started with a lighter/fainter green in the background to give more depth. My bubbling stream is…okay, I guess, nothing extraordinary but overall I think this piece seems peaceful and calm. At the end of painting this one, I started to get frustrated with that broccoli-looking front tree on the left. This one was a meh for me, but I don’t hate it!
