Day 63: Season 6, Episode 1 Blue River
A strong start to season 6! I’m really happy with this one because I think this was a bit more successful with the foliage than my previous attempts. My trees have improved so much and I’m FINALLY getting a grasp on creating depth. After each painting session, I sit it up on my mantel to just get a sense of how it feels in passing— to see if I still love it or hate it, and I think the more I looked at this one, the more I started loving it. I think it has to do with the dramatic color palette and how I’ve been able to not overwork the leaves in the trees. The darks and the lights really work well together with this one.
