Day 70: Season 6, Episode 8 Horizons West
I really like my mountain but I think my foliage in the front areas could use some work. With this one, I really enjoyed the color scheme–I didn’t realize that I actually created the mountain as the main ‘hero’ of this painting until the end, and I kind of love it. With all my other paintings with mountains, I kept trying to keep them distant but I love that for this one, it stands out amongst all the warmer colors. It’s definitely different from what we’ve been doing and I like the change of pace.
