Day 98: Season 8, Episode 10 Cactus at Sunset
A very different vibe for Bob, but I enjoy a nice change. For this one, I had to actually put a layer of yellow paint down and then cut out a circle to place the sun. Then, I built around it. It was fun to create the sky but it was a bit of a challenge to to blend. I haven’t ever painted a desert before but I really love the palette and how my expressiveness comes out in this one. I wish the swirls in the sky were just a bit more defined like Bob’s, but I think this one looks nice. Only 2 more until 100 paintings!
