Day 31: Season 3, Episode 7 Quiet Inlet
I fell back into my old habits with this painting. Listen, I have been trying so hard to restrain my hand from all the mark-making, but when I get to the lush greenery, I just can’t help myself. To be honest, when I try to follow Bob too closely when it comes to the little shrubs, it just does not work for me - I end up making a bunch of blurry blobs with no life to them. So, I came into this one with a heavy hand on the greens and just kept layering. Couldn’t help myself. It does make it seem a bit flat since it all ended up being one value, but I prefer the mess over accuracy.
