Day 215: Season 17, Episode 10 Old Country Mill
There’s a lot going on in this painting, which made me nervous at first but I think I handled it well. The one thing I love about this one is all the different colors that work so well together - I kept the back mostly mahogany and as I worked my way up, I added a bit more color in blocks. I think that system worked in my favor. The mill was probably the most challenging at this scale and getting the water to look okay.
